Man of the Year

One of the industries funniest comedians stars in a political- comedy called Man of the Year. Robin Williams plays a political comedian who runs for the presidency and some how is elected. Before he is actually in the White House a software analyst played by Laura Linney discovers a major glitch in the voting computers. Robin Williams is hilarious the few times when he is doing his stand-up comedy routine. When asked if he smoked marijuana when he was younger he said “it was in my hand so I thought I might as well inhale”. Unfortunately these lines only come spairingly throut the movie. It also doesn’t know if it’s a political comedy or a political thriller and so much of the script along with the title doesn’t make sense. In fact the name of the movie makes about as much as me being called a blind movie critic. (Well maybe the title isn’t so bad after all.) This film could have been so much better and I’m giving it a C rating.

This movie has been given a PG13 rating by the MPAA

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
